Yo!
Here's the inventary of the cool stuff we can bring to the school! Of course you stay owner of the stuff, you can choose to lend it or not, it's just to know who brings a guitar, who brings some english books, who comes with his van etc... So if there's a need for something specific we can organize how we gonna get it!

So I'll bring:
- A van and I'll try to make it so it can drive with 8 people inside.
- My guitar  Surprised
- I can get a djembe -maybe!
- 3 pairs of poïs
- 2 chanbara swords and a mask (I'll try to get more!)
- A few anatomy and an acupuntur atlas
- Some paintings (oil and acrylics) and brushes
- Maybe a pair of street stilts -depends how it goes with streetmusic!
- An old computer
- Some random tools
- Some nice table games to work on different mental skills and a role play rule book in english for "Changelin" (WoD)

AND! I want to build up an Alambic to distilate essencial oils! Very Happy Can be fun to build it together if you're interested.

We're also gonna build up some "flex-yourtes" as said on the website. For this I have a contact that could maybe help us, a french specialist! For those who missed this part here is the "flex-yourte":

It's big enougth to stand inside, 5 people can easily sleep in there. If we build 2 it should be enougth, we can even build one more to be really confortable, in case where we take few more people or for the workshops in the villages but then it costs more gas so pollution and money is gave to not-so-nice people... What do you think?
Also we can build rocket stoves:

Sorry both videos are in french but I couldn't find better ones from here, and at least there are some subtitles!

Ok I think that's all for the moment!

To those in anglophonic country, maybe it's possible for you to borrow audio books in the librairy and to extract it on your computer, so we can have nice audio books in english to fall asleep in the night (when nobody's up to make a lecture)? I have plenty french audio books and it's very nice when your eyes are tired, and those voices are kind of hypnotic it's really perfect to fall asleep! Smile

All sounds amazing - it's good to get an idea of what to pack! Also, you do poi? Me too! I am blessed to have 3 sets, one of which glows and flashes beautiful rainbows!

I'm not sure if this is the right part of the forum to ask this; I was wondering what the tribes ideas were for hygiene/washing? Because some nomad travelers use solar powered shower tents - where others use local resources; rivers, streams, public/camp site showers, bucket of water and a cloth etc. I quite like the idea of jumping into a river first thing in the morning, but I'm aware there are lots of hand crafted and ecological alternatives out there, and was just curious which route this tribe would take Smile The same for washing clothes! I know you can make washing drums and roll them down hills!

Also (sorry to spam you with questions!!) if you thought I was right for this tribe, had something to contribute and could be a part of this, would I be able to bring materials for the tribe (and workshops!) to use for art (as I know art materials use up a lot of space!) e.i paints, brushes, pencils, paper etc.

Questionning is not spamming, and anyway, you're welcome to spam! Wink
I didn't quite think about the hygiene! See how usefull it is to question! Very Happy
I guess it will depend on the material, having some solar shower bags at least, the rest depending on what is brought to the school, what we recycle, what we craft...
I usualy don't use soap myself, I prefer to rub myself with flowers (AaAaah!! Hippie!!), but we will certainly have to speak about how to respect of the land and its water from the begginning. Ana Rita spoke about learning to make our own hygienic/cleaning products here.
I'm sure we can make some very organic and soft products. And I'm counting on Roger (where is Roger by the way? ._.) our forest master to tell us what he thinks is the best to avoid hurting our environment!

And you're already part of the school my dear Wink As long as you want it, and participate to create it, you're as much in this project as me, we are equal, you can present us a new member, ask to administrate this forum or to change the website, ... consider yourself co-creator of a nomad school! Smile

AWww thank you so much, I'm so happy to be a part of this tribe!! I'm so ready to put so much heart and soul into it! Very Happy Very Happy!!
Ooo Solar shower bags look good! Ahh you hippie, how amazing to cleanse yourself with flowers!
While growing up all I ever felt comfortable using was Sunshine Concentrate soap (most soaps have HORRIFIC things in!!!!) from Nature Sunshine's business (which ethically sources everything, using ancient and modern knowledge about nutrition to great a wide range of natural supplements and products for the body, and without harming the environment) this soap can be used for washing dishes, clothes, bodies, anything! It hasn't got horrific things in that ruin the land and oceans and our bodies either, plants love it - so do fish and dolphins because it doesn't strip their natural body oils! I've grown up with Nature's Sunshine products, BUT just because i'm comfortable with using this product doesn't mean you have to be! I'd love to see what other things we could use Smile there are plants that can be used for soap!

I'm very excited about all this!
